Jenny Finn is a licensed social worker (LSW), movement educator and
owner of Soma, Ltd,
offering movement, ritual and art based healing opportunities for
groups and individuals. Currently, Jenny is pursuing her PhD in
Wisdom Studies with a focus in Art and Healing at Wisdom University. Jenny has studied in Boulder with
Melissa Michaels, certified 5Rhythms™ instructor, where she
completed the Foundation Year Training of SomaSource™. Jenny has
studied the theory and practice of embodied psychotherapy with Susan
Aposhyan, author of Body Mind Psychotherapy. Jenny is a cancer
survivor and works with people of all ages, including those living
with life threatening and chronic illness. In the summer of 2005,
she founded the First Congregational Church Saturday Movement
Practice (now known as Shekhinah: A Movement Ministry of FCC) whose
mission is to embody the healing love of God through movement. Jenny
has offered workshops at Memorial Hospital, Penrose Hospital,
schools and several local non-profit organizations. She also works
with small groups using ritual, song and dance for healing. Jenny
mothers two young children, is married to Andy and continues to
deepen into her body and soul through movement and dance.

Jenny is a family therapist working with a diverse population of couples, children, and individuals seeking to deepen their experience of life. In her work, she incorporates experiential, body-centered, Gestalt, and psychodramatic techniques to bring awareness to the role the body plays in healing. Jenny holds a master's of arts in Women's Studies and a master's of science in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a Level II EMDR therapist and finds a strong relationship between EMDR and the 5Rhythms™. Jenny also enjoys creating healthy baked goods using obscure and nutritious ingredients -- especially for children. Jenny is married to Greg and mothers one son who is an exuberant and diligent teacher in her life. Jenny and her family joined First Congregational Church in February 2008 and greatly enjoy the richness it brings to their lives. She is deeply committed to a regular spiritual movement practice which continues to bring depth and rootedness to her world.
